As former Senior Consultant to Phillips, Asia and former Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Derek brings a unique perspective to collecting and managing art investments for institutions and private collectors. He works seamlessly at the intersection of art and cultural strategy.

A graduate of Harvard University, Professor Derek Burton Collins’ academic path has taken him from classical studies to cultural strategy, from lecture halls to leadership roles. In 2024, owing to his extensive world travels, he was honored to be appointed the Founding Director of the Wong How Man Centre for Exploration at HKU.
